Jesse L. Martin is to leave Law & Order after nine years
on the show. Jesse will film one more episode, in which
his character Detective Ed Green will be written out. He
will be replaced by Anthony Anderson, who previously appeared
in spin-off show Law & Order: SVU. Martin will next be seen
portraying singer Marvin Gaye in an upcoming biopic of his
life, which is expected to start shooting later this year.
